Pouya Mahmoudi, a PhD student in Applied Linguistics at the University of Tehran, won first place at the Dynamic Skills Science Fair with his project titled “Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in Language Teaching.” The science fair, organized by the Career School of the University of Tehran, aimed to identify and promote innovative and practical skills.

His project focused on harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence in the language teaching and learning process and presented a wide range of innovative educational solutions and tools. In this regard, a dedicated online platform was designed to collect, introduce, and provide training on AI-powered educational tools. Featuring a user-friendly interface, the platform provides easy access to tools and tutorials for language teachers.

Key components of the project included text-to-video and avatar generation, text-to-speech conversion, classroom activity design, making educational videos interactive, gamification without the need for coding, worksheet creation, intelligent test design, presentation slide generation, free discussion management, smart assistant plugin design, the provision of a comprehensive set of teaching tools, the creation of tutorial videos, and the delivery of educational guidance and consultation services.

This achievement has the potential to play a significant role in the development of innovative approaches to language education. The Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Tehran congratulates the student on this valuable success and wishes continued achievement in future academic and research endeavors.
